Thanks

Thanks for all the well wishes. I have spent most of my day on my sofa. My sister had to bring over more pads for me, because I ran out. The bleeding seems to have slowed down some, so hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. I will let you all know what the Doc says Wednesday afternoon:-)

My Body Hates Me-TMI Post-UPDATED

This going to be kind of a downer post, so I apologize in advance....

I started bleeding two days ago to the point that I was in the ER yesterday. My primary Dr sent me because she thought it might be a miscarriage. After 4 hours at the ER, where the MALE Dr told me I didn't need painkillers that it was just cramps, and a very insensitive pelvic exam, I find out the following:

  • I was not pregnant. (I knew this)
  • I had bled so much I am now anemic.
  • This isn't normal.
  • I most likely have fibroids and will need a D & C in the next few days.
I left the ER feeling worse that when I started and now have to go see and OB/GYN who I have never met and go through all of this again. The only think he was able to tell me is that I most likely have Fibroids, and I have a hormonal imbalance.

While at the hospital I became somewhat hysterical to the point that they injected me with Ativan. I wouldn't have needed the Ativan if someone would have taken two minutes to listen to me. I can't handle Pelvic exams. I especially need them to be done by a woman. I have PTSD for 8 years of ritualized abuse and was terrified. My hubby tried to explain but they would rather give me an injection. I feel violated and angry about the whole process. It was so humiliating, I even had to take my panties off in front of the DR in the exam room. He did turn, but I would have been made to feel better if I could have had a bit of privacy.

(As a quick background, this was considered an emergency because I have not had an actual period in at least 5 years....)

So forgive me if I am less than perky the next few days. I am in pain and my only option is Motrin......it isn't helping, and I am all alone and feeling pouty.....This is not helping my mental health.....

Update***** ALl of this has me so upset because i think it is finally that one point where I now realize that I will never have more children....All I want is children in my home and as much as I love and cherish WB, I don't think there will be anymore........going to go cry now.....

I Love My Husband

Today is my husband's 33rd Birthday. As of today I have known my husband for 18 years. We met on his 15th birthday at a church lock-in for a youth group. I believe that it was fate, because I was drug to that lock in by a friend of mine. I had never been to that church, and would have never gone if it weren't for that friend. I just want to say to my hubby

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

In Honor of Earth Day.......

.....that I missed yesterday out of pure exhaustion.......

What are you and your family doing to to "go green"??

Here is a list of some of things that we have done:

  • We have reduced and almost eliminated paper products, like paper plates and paper towels. We have not decided to go without toilet paper or feminine hygeine products though. There is a huge movement for this. Just google "mama cloth" and "family cloth".
  • We have reduced our dependency on plastic. I try to only buy things packaged in recyclable plastic, glass, or cardboard.
  • We recycle anything that we can. Some weeks our recycle bins have more in them than our garbage can.
  • I WILL NOT bring a plastic shopping bag into my house. I made some shopping bags of my own and have also purchased some. I carry one in my purse, and keep a bag of shopping bags hanging on my front door to grab on my way out. I even fasioned this bag so that it can be attached to the shopping cart at the grocery.
  • I do not use store bought cleaners except for laundry and toilet cleaning. Everything else gets vinegar and baking soda. NO BLEACH.
  • We buy very few processed foods. With having a preteen this is hard because they love convenience, but we are getting there.

WB Surgery Update

WB right before surgery.

WB's surgery went well. We are home, and although he is sore, he is sleeping without snoring and gagging and all the other things that go along with sleep apnea.

I will be on and off for a few days while playing nursemaid to my boy.

I will get to the tags I have gotten ASAP:-)
